How selling your car to us works
Three steps, about 2 minutes of your time online, and a check the same day.
The whole process
-
Tell us about your car
Enter your plate or VIN and answer a few quick questions about mileage and condition. It takes about 2 minutes and there is nothing to install, no account to create, and no effect on your credit.
-
We verify it — here or at your place
Bring it to us in Mt. Juliet, or tell us where it is and we will send a buyer to you. The verification is quick: we confirm the car matches what you described. No teardown, no all-afternoon appraisal, no pressure to buy something else.
-
Walk out with a check
Sign the paperwork and get paid the same day. If you still owe on the car, we handle the payoff directly with your lender — including the case where you owe more than it is worth.
What to bring
Having these ready is the difference between a fifteen-minute visit and a second trip:
- The title, if you have it in hand. If your lender holds it, that is completely normal and we deal with it directly.
- A valid photo ID for every person named on the title. If two names are on it, both people generally need to sign.
- All keys and remotes. A missing second key genuinely costs money to replace and does affect the number.
- Your current registration.
- Loan information — lender name and account number, or just your latest statement.
- Service records, if you kept them. On a higher-mileage car these can meaningfully help.
What happens at the verification
We confirm the vehicle matches what you told us: we check the VIN, read the odometer, look it over, and take a short drive. It is not a teardown and it is not an excuse to renegotiate. If everything matches your description, the offer stands exactly as quoted.
If something turns up that you did not know about — a previously repaired accident showing on the history report, an active check-engine light, a mismatched tyre set — we will show you what we found and explain exactly how it changes the number. You are free to walk away at that point, and some people do. That is fine.
If we come to you
Mobile appraisal covers the greater Nashville metro and it is free. We agree on a time, our buyer meets you at home or at work, and the verification happens there. If you accept, the paperwork is completed on the spot and the vehicle is collected. You do not need to arrange a ride home from a dealership, which is the part most people forget to plan for.
The paperwork we handle
Title transfer and assignment, odometer disclosure, lien payoff and release with your lender, and reporting the sale to the State of Tennessee. That last one protects you: once the sale is properly recorded, tolls, tickets and liability tied to that vehicle are no longer your problem. This is a real advantage over a private sale, where an unrecorded transfer can follow you for months.
Questions about the process
How much is my car worth?
The only honest answer is that it depends on your specific vehicle, and the fastest way to find out is our online offer tool, which takes about 2 minutes and is free. Value comes down to year, make, model, trim, mileage, condition, history and what that exact vehicle is currently bringing at wholesale auction in this region. Anyone quoting you a number without those details is guessing.
Do I have to buy a car from you to sell you mine?
No. We buy vehicles outright with no purchase required. You can sell us your car, take the check and leave. We need used inventory, and buying it directly from the public is cheaper for us than the auction — that is the entire reason this program exists.
Can I sell a car that I still owe money on?
Yes, and it is one of the most common transactions we do. We pay your lender directly to release the lien, and if there is equity left over it goes to you. If you owe more than the car is worth, you can pay the difference or in some cases roll it into a replacement vehicle — either way we will tell you the exact number before you commit to anything.
How fast do I get paid?
Same day, in almost every case. Once we verify the car matches what you described and the paperwork is signed, you leave with a check. If there is a lien on the vehicle, the payoff to your lender happens on our end and does not delay your payment.
Do you buy cars with high mileage or older model years?
Yes. There is no mileage limit and no model-year cutoff. High-mileage vehicles are a normal part of our inventory, and we would rather make you a modest honest offer than tell you your car is worthless.
